This one of a kind hotel in Uttarakhand aims to give its guests the true taste of authentic Kumaoni culture in every way. They have a guest capacity of 16 people and offer 4 Kumaoni Village Cottages and a uniquely built mud house.

The Kumaoni Cottages are crafted using natural construction materials like mud, straws, wood, and stones, making it environment and climate-friendly in all aspects. They have spacious rooms that have their own fireplace and offer a magnificent view of the Himalayas and the Deodar forests from a large glass window.

The rooms are a combination of traditional village style and modern comfort made by using natural materials sourced locally.

The mud house is a unique feature of the property. It is made up of mud and wood, with thick mud walls to maintain the balance and the humidity of the mud house. The house has an elevated king size floor mud bed and a bunk bed.

It also has a uniquely crafted sitting area made up of mud in a traditional village style.

Well, the Kumaoni experience doesn’t end here. The Woodnotes Foreststays has a ‘Pahadi Kitchen’ which offers a treat of delectable and mouthwatering authentic Kumaoni dishes to its guests. The food in the ‘Pahadi Kitchen’ is prepared using locally sourced fresh ingredients.

The property lies on the Ramgarh-Mukteshwar belt which is also known as the fruit bowl of Uttarakhand with an abundance of peach, plum, apricot, and pear trees. The best time to visit is between March -June when all the trees are flowering and in a full bloom offering a breathtaking view.
