People Make Home

A family had difficulty finding a house to rent in a new city. They were living in a hotel until they could find a permanent residence.

In the lobby of the hotel one day, another guest said to the little girl of the family, “It’s too bad you haven’t a home.”

The alert child answered, “Oh, we do have a home. All we need is a house to put it in.”

A house is built by bricks and beams; a home is built by love and dreams.
