If Money Heist & Tiger King were remade in Bollywood, here’s who we think would play the character

And you can be sure of many more songs in those shows than Bella Ciao and all of Joe Exotic’s singing career

As the number of Money Heist and Tiger King memes keeps shooting up on our social media feeds, and the uncanny similarities between Professor (played by Álvaro Morte) and Shah Rukh Khan get us all in a tizzy, one can’t help but think how King Khan would’ve brought his own spin to the popular Netflix character. Would there be mention of a certain ‘Kiran’? Would SRK have planned their escape route after telling his students to have the time of their lives right then, or before that? Would he rather be called ‘Don’ than Professor?

We think we’d be on board with ‘Don’, but the rest of it would definitely have to be put together keeping what would also have to be a very special cast in mind. A cast made up of our own homegrown Bollywood stars for sure. We’re taking the liberty here of assigning not only our choices to the characters from Money Heist but also to four other popular Netflix shows and movies. And we’re quite sure these adaptations will be equally entertaining.

From Money Heist to Tiger King, if these Netflix shows and movies were remade in Bollywood, this is who we’re guessing would play the parts:

Money Heist

First things first: The series would probably be remade as a feature-length film with at least four songs. Five, if Dharma Productions is doing this remake. Shah Rukh Khan would be Professor, oops, Don, and the rest of the cast would be:

Professor/Don: SRK

Berlin: Farhan Akhtar

Tokio: Priyanka Chopra

Rio: Jim Sarbh

Nairobi: Deepika Padukone

Raquel: Kareena Kapoor Khan

Tiger King

Tiger King would be remade as a thriller-mystery, minus the tigers. It’ll be called ‘Tiger Badshah,’ and Tiger would still be the name of our protagonist. A young lad who’s looking for his father, Don Lewis (cue dramatic music). It’ll be a two-part mystery, obviously, and Carole would be called Karishma, while Howard would be Harish. And here’s who’ll play them:

Joe Exotic: Ranveer Singh

Carole Baskin: Neena Gupta

Howard Baskin: Naseeruddin Shah

To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You

We think we’ve already seen this film as Student of the Year. But for novelty’s sake, we’ll watch this film again with these lead characters, titled with a ‘K’.

Lara Jean Covey: Alia Bhatt

John Ambrose: Siddhant Chaturvedi

Peter Kavinsky: Sidharth Malhotra

Narcos

Let’s be honest, if there’s any chance of Narcos being remade in Bollywood, it’ll be as a high-octane action film starring only these three gents:

Pablo Escobar: Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Steve Murphy: Akshay Kumar

Javier Peña: John Abraham

The End of the F***ing World

This series will be remade as a cute, boy-meets-girl rom-com and everything will work out for them because Bollywood is actually a fairy godmother, who keeps giving!

Alyssa: Ananya Panday

James: Kartik Aaryan

Now the question is: Will any of these titles cross the coveted Rs 100-crore mark? With originals like these that have audiences hooked already, we think that one’s a no-brainer.
