“But I Don’t Have Enough Time”- An Excerpt From Put More Time On Your Side
The chaotic digital era has somehow managed to consume so much of our time, that it is almost impossible for us to achieve the right kind of balance in our daily lives.
In the Book, Put more Time on your side, Dr. Jan Yager who is an eminent sociologist, business and relationship expert has done an extraordinary job by exposing us to a world of tips and tricks that we could rely on, to rectify our misleading habits with regards to managing time efficiently. This book will help us deal with time management, which is seemingly a topic that is gaining popularity among the millennials.
Here is an excerpt that explains one of Dr. Jan’s experiences.
“I find it intriguing that when I ask a time management workshop group what is the number one way they could get more done each day, someone invariably responds, “ Make it 25 hours long”. The irony is that we all know that if the day was 25 hours long, someone would probably ask to extend it to 26 to 27 hours.
For most of us, it is not the number of hours that we have each day that is slowing us down or stopping us from getting more done. We all already have 24 hours and even if we take away 8 hours for sleeping and 6 – 8 hours for eating, commuting, and interacting with family and friends, that still leaves us with 6 to 10 hours a day for work. How many of us can say that we really make the most of each of those 6 to 10 hours of work time?
If I had to give you two concrete goals for this book it would be this:
To help you to get more done in the 6 to 10 work hours you have each day.
And:
To make sure you are making the right choices so you’re doing the right things in the first place.
